Jennifer Doloski adopted from Ukraine in 2012 and 2016. When she was asked to help get tactical gear to citizen combats fighting in Ukraine’s war against Russia’s unprovoked aggression, she agreed to do so, but needed assistance in financing the shipping costs. It costs more than $300 to ship one ballistic vest to Poland, and so far, Jennifer and her brother, a retired police chief, have had more than 400 donated. Donations are shipped to Warsaw, Poland and delivered across the border into Ukraine. Jennifer asked Reece’s Rainbow for assistance in providing a secure, trustworthy location for donations to be made. Funds will be disbursed as she provides Reece’s Rainbow with shipping receipts/bills. Any funding remaining at the end of the campaign will go to the orphanages of Mykolaiv, Ukraine, where Jennifer’s boys are all from.
Funds are utilized for this special project, as described above, and receipts obtained. A list of donors will be provided to Jennifer. If you prefer your donation to be anonymous, please contact michelle@reecesrainbow.org
Processing fees for your donations are 3%.

Isaac’s Buddies was created in celebration of Isaac, who was adopted from Ukraine in 2020 at the age of 10. Isaac was listed on Reece’s Rainbow for over 7 years before his family found him, thanks to an advocacy post on Facebook, and decided to commit to bringing him home. He went from being a bedridden, malnourished, withdrawn, stiff little boy to being a happy, thriving, and cherished son, brother, grandson, friend, and student. We know this is exactly what every child deserves, but this is something that hardly any children with profound special needs will get to experience. We hope to help change perceptions, to advocate for these kids who are at serious risk, and to be a support for families who need it.
Our Family will be hosting the 7th annual
Multi Family Adoption Auction: it’s actually just that simple. Each month I will help host an auction for multiple families, each family will receive their own album that they have full control over!
When we brought Zeph home in 2022, at 2 years old, he was so weak and malnourished that he couldn’t hold his own head up. He has gotten so much stronger in the time he has been home, but he has needed all kinds of medical and mobility equipment. So Zeph’s Little Cakes was born. We started selling boxes of cupcakes to fund the therapies and equipment he needs.
It is hard for us to imagine a life without our two incredible children. To us, it feels like they have always been “Hickeys” but, reality is, they both spent many years as orphans.
When I first discovered Reece’s Rainbow in 2010, I had no idea then not just how much of an Impact I could have, advocating for orphans with special needs. But after 13 years of advocating: the kids; the families; & the advocates have blessed my life more than I can ever imagine. I started as a young 18 yr old thinking, “What could I do to help?” It’s my birthday wish this year, as I’m thankful for all that God has blessed me with, to continue impacting & helping so more orphans can join their forever families.
Whilst adopting our daughter with special needs from abroad, we were privileged to meet and fall in love with many beautiful children with Down Syndrome in her orphanage.
